ABOUT
Kenkichi Kumada (1972~ ) Japan
I have been getting work without relations with the watch for many years. However, because my grandfather and father were watch repairer, various watches existed around me from childhood.
I began to learn the repair of the antique watches by my father's instruction and self-education in the beginning of the 2000s.
After my father's death several years ago, I performed repair and the sale of the antique watches. In 2012, I installed the compact machine tools in the workshop my father occupied and began the production of original designed watch. I named my own little workshop 'INTERIMLAMBWATCH'. 'INTERIM-LAMB' means the living people in their own lives.
Mechanical watch may be last stand of wearable mechanism electric non-use. The most of the modern watch are the product from computed manufacturing. It will surely finish work extremely exactly and early. But, because of this trends of the times, I think that it is important to work depending on the sense of eyes and finger-tips.
